For this project, the primary focus was to create a modern ad in an Art Nouveau style similar to the works of Jules Cheret. As such my poster design was done in order to promote the Studio Ghibli film “Princess Mononoke” with the intention of being used for their Studio Ghibli film fest.
With this project, I created a social justice poster to raise awareness around a recent law within Florida nicknamed the “Don’t Say Gay Law”. The overall tone is satire and, the poster itself is framed largely like one that you might see while promoting a concert. As such instead of band listing there’s lists of children’s books being banned which are pro LGBTQ+.
